Eugene Burroughs Middle School

Brinjac provided fundamental and enhanced commissioning services per school guidelines EAP1 and EAC3 for a complete renovation with small additions as a state-of-the-art LEED Gold school to house over 1,000 students from grades 5-8. The current middle school is 126,286 SF and shares a campus with Henry G. Ferguson Elementary School.

Brinjac was responsible for developing a commissioning plan and assisting with its utilization, reviewing the design intent and basis of design documentation, and assisting with the incorporation of the commissioning requirements into the construction documents. Brinjac also verified the installation, functional performance, training and operation, maintenance documentation, and preparation of a commissioning report and related systems documentation, as well as provided follow-up services to ensured that the systems continue to operate as intended.

Greenbelt Middle School

Brinjac provided fundamental and enhanced commissioning services of the HVAC/controls, interior and exterior lighting controls and hot water generation for the approximately 143,000 SF school. Brinjac’s services included monitoring the installation and operation of the mechanical heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC), domestic hot water generation, and lighting control systems. Our services were responsive to LEED EA Prerequisite 1, Fundamental Building Systems Commissioning.
