Providing engineering design services for various HVAC, boiler, electrical, and fire protection/life safety projects as requested. Projects have included an HVAC systems comparison study; lighting upgrades at J.E. Hill School; replacement the fire alarm system at Thomas G Morton School; replacement of electrical distribution system at the Rudolph Blakenburg School; security system design at Juniata Park Academy; new generator and emergency lighting at Mastermann High School; as well as multiple boiler replacement projects; and elevator replacements at multiple schools.
Providing structural design services for various projects as requested. Projects have included parapet stabilization and exterior masonry wall repairs at the Vare Middle School; a conditions assessment of facade deficiencies and repair measures at Taggart Elementary School; inspection of the installation of cabinets at the Deburgos Elementary School; and inspection of the flagpole base at the Sullivan Elementary School.
Brinjac provided MEP, fire protection, telecom, audio/visual, and security engineering design and commissioning services for this new 165,306 SF, grades 9-12 high school. The facility, located on 4 1/2 acres, boasts state-of-the-art classrooms, science labs, auditoriums, and a library. The building achieved LEED Gold certification.
Provided mechanical, electrical, fire alarm, fire protection, telecommunication, and security services for the renovation and conversion of an existing 185,206 SF middle school into the Academy at Palumbo High School.
Provided MEP upgrades to the existing 46,700 SF building and an addition of 24,000 SF. The addition consists of a performance space, a gymnasium/cafeteria, full service kitchen and elevator. The existing renovation includes replacement of the steam boilers, piping and controls. The replacement of all the water piping and addition of ADA fixtures.
Brinjac was responsible for the comprehensive engineering design associated with an existing 108,000 SF, 4-story K-8 school building with cafeteria, gymnasium, auditorium, IMC, administrative offices, and facilities for the community. Services involved updates to the central mechanical systems including a 1,200-ton/hour thermal (ice) storage system. Brinjac’s responsibilities included complete MEP and site/civil design, as well as construction phase services.
William Sayre High School
Brinjac provided MEP services including new unit ventilators to replace the existing, upgrade of the electrical service and electrical distribution, and provision of new fire protection to serve the renovated spaces. Replacement of the fire alarm system and emergency exit signs, and telecommunications for renovated spaces.
Project included conversion of the existing Middle School into a High School by changing the program of the 200,000 SF school. Including the addition of six science rooms/ labs, adding a career path of health related programs. Upgrading of a learning library and addition of computer science classrooms.
Telecommunications Infrastructure Upgrades
Complete planning, design and construction phase services for the fast-tracked development of voice distribution design, data network design, environmental conditioning and video distribution design & infrastructure plans and construction documents for 40 existing facilities. Final design included all equipment rooms, pathways, spaces, cabling and related mechanical/electrical work to support the telecom systems.
