Market Street Bridge
Brinjac’s specialty Lighting Team headed this “one-of-a-kind” enhancement project. In concert with the Lighting Team, our Civil Engineers and Landscape Architectural designers prepared perspective sketches of design alternatives for approval by the City of Harrisburg and the mayor. Detailed construction plans and specifications have been prepared for this significant project.
The scope of improvements associated with this enhancement project included the removal of the existing light fixtures on the bridge and the installation of historic style fixtures intended to restore the bridge to its original splendor. Recessed lighting on the interior of the stone arches of the bridge will create a new “glow” to the riverfront nightscape for the City of Harrisburg.
The pedestrian plaza at the intersection of Front and Market Streets was completely refurbished as part of the project. Detailed attention has been paid to the color, pattern and type of pavers used in the plaza design, as well as historically correct landscape enhancements for this very public city focal point.
