Loudoun County Ashburn Sherriff Station
Brinjac provided mechanical, electrical, and plumbing, fire protection, fire alarm, IT, AV, and security design services for this 18,000 SF sheriff station. The single story building include administration space, roll call rooms, a community room, holding cells, interview rooms, locker rooms, exercise rooms, and a conference room. The HVAC system consists of a geothermal well field with pumps located in the building. Above ceiling duct heat pumps throughout the facility provide space temperature control, and a water source DOAS unit provides dehumidified tempered air for ventilation to each space. An emergency generator provides power for the entire building, including HVAC systems. Provision for future roof mounted photovoltaic panels was included in the design. The project is pursuing LEED Silver status. Construction began in February 2017.
