City Island, Riverside Stadium
The professional baseball stadium (Harrisburg Senators) included 69 concrete caissons to support the grandstands and accommodate clubhouse, locker room, office, and concession stand construction. Utilities, erosion and sedimentation control, stormwater management, site drainage, parking, roadways and lighting systems were also designed for this project.
Brinjac was responsible for construction supervision and coordination for a slope stabilization project on City Island. The project consisted of the stabilization of the shore bank at selected points, as well as other miscellaneous work including clearing, grubbing, grading, and placement of riprap slope protection on approximately 520-feet of bank along the eastern shoreline and 270-feet on the western shoreline. Brinjac also oversaw the placement of approximately 300-feet of four-foot wide brick pavers along the top of the east bank in the RiverSide Village Park area and installation of nearly 450-feet of 3/4-inch vacant electrical conduit along the top of the east bank in RiverSide Park.
Brinjac also provided engineering design for the upgrade of a 20,000-sf beach house associated with the swimming area at the north end of the island sports and recreation complex. The design included installation of rest room facilities and renovations of existing shower/locker rooms and related equipment.
