| BRINJAC ENGINEERING, Inc. (BRINJAC) provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, lighting, communications distribution and structural engineering design services for this 37,000 SF "Arts and Crafts" style library facility in Camp Hill, PA. The foundations consists of reinforced concrete spread footings. The ground floor is constructed of a five (5) inch thick concrete slab on grade, reinforced with welded wire fabric. A Walkerdeck floor system (WDR2) was integrated with a composite steel floor deck for the upper floor construction. This provided cellular raceways for distribution of power and communication systems. Steel beams and girders utilizing steel studs for a composite beam design were utilized for the steel framing. The upper roof construction in the clerestory area is wood deck supported by exposed tube steel purlins and tube frames. The main roof construction is steel deck on open web steel joists and steel beams. The columns are constructed of steel wide-flange and tube sections. The steel tube columns are exposed along the building's eastern exterior wall. |
