Clarion University

Science and Technology Center, Clarion, PA

This facility is the most energy efficient in the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education thanks to a research and development grant the university secured after an energy-efficiency analysis was performed on the proposed plan by Brinjac Engineering. Brinjac designed a 65-kilowatt equivalent microturbine that works in conjunction with a solar photovoltaic array in the Science Center's roof to generate electricity as well as disperse recovered heat from the turbine into the heating system.
