Brinjac Engineering Lighting Designer Teaches at Penn State University

Harrisburg, PA -- Brinjac Engineering's Shawn Good is teaching a senior-level lighting design course at Penn State University's main campus in the Architectural Engineering Department. The course (AE-461 Theory of Building Illumination) introduces students to concepts in illumination engineering and design, and provides them with a working knowledge of quantitative and qualitative aspects of lighting design."

According to Good, Students taking this course have had an Introduction to Lighting and Electrical Systems class already in their third year. However, this is the first true lighting design course they take after selecting lighting design as their major in their fourth year.

As the firm's Lighting Studio Manager, Mr. Good is responsible for the oversight of all specialized lighting design applications, custom fixture designs, and the creative integration of these systems into the overall architectural composition of projects. He is a graduate of Penn State University, University Park, PA with a Bachelor's degree in Architectural Engineering. Mr. Good is a registered Professional Engineer, Lighting Certified by the National Council on Qualifications for the Lighting Professions and LEED Certified.
