Brinjac Engineering Provides Design Services for New Transportation Museum

America on Wheels, a new 30,000 SF transportation museum showcasing past, present and future vehicles and transportation technology, opens in April in the Lehigh Valley. Brinjac Engineering provided design services for the museum which included structural engineering for all foundations and structural steel, plus mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection engineering for all building systems. The design included all new HVAC systems, electrical power, lighting, telephone/data, security, plumbing, and fire protection systems.

The museum, located on North Front Street in Allentown, features bicycles, motorcycles, automobiles and trucks in dynamic displays that showcase the journey of American transportation technology from the carriage to the vehicles of tomorrow. A comprehensive, integrated building security system designed by Brinjac will safeguard the extensive collection of artifacts and displays.

The project architect was MGA Partners, with whom Brinjac has collaborated on many projects. 

America on Wheels opens to the public April 12, 2008.
