BRINJAC ENGINEERING, Inc. (BRINJAC) is providing multi-discipline engineering services for a new 38-gate commuter terminal at Philadelphia International Airport. The project includes construction of approximately 190,000 square feet of new passenger holdroom, concourse, concession and airline operations space. Telecommunications-related design services included:
  • Uninterruptible power system to support data processing equipment.
  • Structured telecommunications cabling system.
  • New multiplexed addressable fire alarm system with bi-directional interface into the existing airport-wide system.
  • New programmable flight announcement control system with interfaces into existing airport-wide systems. This system incorporates functions such as pre-programmed boarding announcements and ambient noise compensation.
