(Harrisburg, PA) - For the third consecutive year, Brinjac Engineering employees joined forces with Habitat For Humanity (HFH) to donate their knowledge and labor to help eradicate poverty housing in Dauphin County.

"It has been a wonderful experience to work with such an inspiring, professional and worthwhile organization over the years," John Brinjac, P.E., Brinjac Engineering President, said. "It is a fantastic opportunity for us to contribute our manpower and expertise in engineering to help construct adequate, safe housing in the Harrisburg area."

On May 19 through May 23, thirty-two Brinjac Engineering employees spent a week constructing three homes in Harrisburg. Each day, five to seven employees volunteered to assist with HFH projects on State Street, 13th Street and Baum Street. Lending helping hands from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm each day, Brinjac volunteers did a variety of tasks from moving new materials to various locations, to installing drywall and adhering siding to homes.

Responsible for organizing Brinjac's HFH team, Terry Reed, a Senior Electrical designer with the firm, maintains, "It's the whole philosophy of Habitat -- it's simple, it's logical, it's workable. And, there's something miraculous about it. By Friday, you find yourself saying, 'Wow, we've played a major role in providing a family within our community with a home.'"
