BRINJAC ENGINEERING NAMED ONE OF THE
TOP 500 DESIGN FIRMS IN THE U.S.

CoverHARRISBURG, PA - 9/2/05
For the third consecutive year, Brinjac Engineering, Inc., has been named one of the Top 500 Design Firms in the United States by Engineering News-Record (ENR) Magazine, a prominent national trade publication.

The publication annually ranks engineering firms according to revenue earned for design services performed the previous year. Each firm is classified under one of nine categories including architect, engineer, engineer-contractor, architect-engineer, engineer-architect, environmental, geotechnical engineer, planner or other. Brinjac Engineering, one of Pennsylvania's leading engineering firms, shared the list with only 11 Pennsylvania firms in the category of engineer.

"Last year may have been the beginning of the market downturn, but you would never know it from revenue figures posted by ENR's Top 500 Design Firms," Gary J. Tulacz, ENR senior editor and industry analyst, said. "The Top 500 generated a record $48.27 billion in revenue in 2001, an 11.0% increase over 2000."

President of Brinjac Engineering, Inc.

In the article "Firms Weathering Recession's Storm," Tulacz attributes the increase, in part, to the continual diversification of large firms. John Brinjac, P.E., president of Brinjac Engineering, agrees and notes the importance of offering a variety of value-added design services. "We have not felt the effects of the soft economy because we continue to meet the demands of the market," he said. "By offering telecommunications, security and specialty lighting design; and fire protection and codes consulting along with more traditional services including civil; environmental; building commissioning; mechanical, electrical and plumbing; and structural engineering, we are prepared for declines in particular market sectors."

Since 1874, ENR has been the standard of excellence for news, insight and analysis for industry professionals in every sector of the construction market. With a readership of approximately half-a-million, ENR's unique position of authority has established it as the best read and most respected publication serving the growing $3.4 trillion global construction industry.

Engineering a better future since 1955, Brinjac Engineering, Inc., provides a variety of engineering services across the state through its fully staffed offices in Harrisburg, Philadelphia and Lehigh Valley. For further information about the firm, please visit www.brinjac.com.
