Gateway Independence Center
BRINJAC ENGINEERING (BRINJAC) is providing comprehensive engineering design services for the construction of a new 50,000 SF visitor’s center. The facility will be constructed at the north end of Independence National Historical Park (a three-block, 15-acre mall), near the site of the drafting and signing of the Declaration of Independence in 1776.

The visitor center will serve as a “Gateway” for visitors to the surrounding historic district and to the City of Philadelphia. The center will feature reception, information and ticket areas; audio and visual experiences; special rental events; publications and displays; retail spaces; snack bar and restroom areas; and associated support spaces. Additional services include improvements to surface treatments, landscaping, a pavilion for the Liberty Bell, and renovations and enhancements to the parking garage.
