| BRINJAC ENGINEERING, Inc. (BRINJAC) provided design services for the implementation of a data only Wide-Area-Network (WAN), encompassing 24 district buildings. The WAN fiber infrastructure was existing and consists of 12-strand single-mode “dark” fiber. This current fiber infrastructure provides redundancy and diverse path routing of the fiber between the main “node” buildings (CB West HS, CB East HS, Unami MS, Tanamend MS, OPS CTR) and the Administration Building. The goal of the district was to have the WAN operational by the end of August 2001, before the start of the school year. The schools were each connected by point-to-point T1 lines to the Administration Building (except Doyle, which is fiber connected to Lenape and Holicong, which is fiber connected to CB East). The Internet Service connection was also a point-to-point T1 line from the Administration Building to the Bucks County I.U. more |
